Denna tredagarskurs täcker de diagnostiska tester som behövs för att undvika att vi missar sjukdomar i munhålan samt hur tecken på systemsjukdomar kan upptäckas. De senaste rönen vad gäller möjligheter till behandling presenteras.

Teori:
Anomalies, Autoimmune disease, Neuropathies, Salivary gland disorders, Inflammatory diseases , Infectious diseases & conditions, Tooth resorption, Caries, Malocclusions, Neoplastic disease, Traumatic injuries, Lymphadenopathy.

E.g. of presentation symptoms covered during the course: Ptyalism, Trismus, Pain when opening the mouth, “Dropped jaw”, Lip dropping, Inflammation in the oral cavity, Infection in the oral cavity, The most common types of Swelling, Suspected neoplasia in the oral cavity, Nasal discharge, Facial asymmetry, Inappetance (unwillingness to eat), Dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), Odynophagia (pain when swallowing), Enlarged lymph nodes, Huskiness/vocal disturbances, Mandibular skin wounds/fistulas, Mobile teeth, Discoulored teeth, Malocclusion, Snoring, Stridor, Inability to close eyelids, Discharge from the eye.

Praktik:
Interpretation of clinical and radiographic findings (case description-work shops) combined with practical exercises (examination and biopsy techniques). Practice in interpreting histopathology reports.
